7.1. Duties

 

1. Determining the Group�s activities

2. Preparing timetable and CPM for the group�s activities

3. Proposing and deciding on the group�s study projects

4. Reviewing data processing methods and procedures used in previous censuses and determining their advantages and disadvantages

5. Reviewing census data processing methods in other countries of the world

6. Conducting comparative studies on the use of IT in censuses of population and housing and presenting resulted report and proposals

7. Preparing Comprehensive Data Processing Plan consisting of:

7.1. Designing the processing organization and determining job description for the categories

 7.2. Preparing the list of activities, data processing government agencies and job description of the categories

7.3. Estimating and determining required equipments, human resources and  costs

8. Designing the system and the cycle of operations in detail

9. Updating geographic files

10. Designing and compiling the census forms in cooperation with other groups involved in the same job

11. Compiling handbooks and guidelines (for all the groups)

12. Producing required software

13.Testing the software in collaboration with the �Plans and training group�

14. Preparing the plan for data processing trainings

15. Preparing the technical supervision plan for processing operations

16. Supervising the data processing

17. Implementing centralized data processing in the SCI

18. Processing the pilot census data

19. Processing the post-enumeration data

  6. Publishing and releasing census final results as well as maintaining the SCI�s publications database

7. Publishing news related to different stages of the census on the SCI�s web site
