Census headquarters

The headquarters is responsible for policy-making, planning, coordination, monitoring, and leading the census activities. It is presided by the head of the SCI - a deputy of the MPO (Management and Planning Organization) at once - assisted by  the SCI�s Deputy for Statistical Projects as the acting director.

In addition to the local resources, the headquarters is required to benefit from the experiences and expertise of the experts in other public organizations, Islamic Revolution Foundations, and the private sector for quality implementation of the NPHC2005. The headquarters will be assisted by seven groups to carry out various census activities. 

 

A. Headquarters� major duties

1.To do policy-making and planning, and specify the general objectives of the census.

2.To prepare the organizational structure of the census administrative affairs and operation.

3.To specify the responsibilities of the officials and members of groups.

4.To specify the responsibilities of the officials and members of committees.

5.To prepare the time schedule for the census activities.

6.To define generalities of the subject - matter, technical, and training plans, as well as those of data processing, monitoring, census publicity, study post-enumeration, and pilot survey projects.

7.To prepare draft presidential decree for the launch of the census.

8.To prepare draft of the government sanctioned regulations for the census.

9.To lead, coordinate and monitor the census technical and operational activities.

10.To determine the census budget.

11.To provide reports to the MPO and the President.
