In 1385, it has been estimated that forest areas of the country stands at 14 mln hectares and pasture areas 86 mln hectares.

  Agricultural   general census in 1382 showed that the arable lands of the country have amounted to 18 mln hectares including lands under annual cultivation, fallow, orchard and nursery. The area of the lands under annual crops was estimated 7 million hectares and the rice 0.5 m., hectares. And the production thereof respectively has been 11.7 and 1.82 million tones. The orchard productions of the country including grapes, citreous, apples, dates and pistachio have respectively reached (in tones) 1.4 m., 1.3 m., 1.15 m., 0.5 m., and more than 0.3 million.

In 1382, the total numbers livestock consisted of 37 million sheep, 20 m., goats, 6 m., cows, 159 thousand buffalos, and 139 thousand camels. In 1385, the production of red meat, chicken meat, eggs, milk and fisheries have respectively amounted (in tones) to 829 thousand, 1360 thousand, 677 thousand, 7741 thousand and 576000 thousand.
